The staff of the Mission of Azerbaijan to NATO visited the grave of an Azerbaijani soldier fallen in Belgium during the Second World War
Today, the staff of the Mission of Azerbaijan to NATO visited the grave of an Azerbaijani soldier fallen in Belgium during the Second World War WW2 and commemorated with pride and respect the fond memory of many millions of victims of the war and all our heroes who fought for peace, freedom and human dignity during the war.
There is not a single family in Azerbaijan that was not affected by this war that took place beyond the territory of Azerbaijan. Half of the 700 000 Azerbaijanis who went to the war lost their lives and many of them died while fighting.
Along with manpower, Azerbaijan also made an invaluable contribution to the achievement of the victory at the war with its oil.
Azerbaijan has been and is among the countries that contribute to international peace and security.
