Azerbaijan Has Joined the NATO Maritime Security Centre of Excellence (DGMM/MARSEC COE)
An event was held at NATO's Allied Command Transformation with the participation of representatives from Azerbaijan, Portugal, Romania, Turkey, and Greece.
During the event, a technical agreement was signed regarding our country's first-time admission as a member of the NATO Maritime Security Centre of Excellence (DGMM/MARSEC COE).
The main objective of this center is to ensure the maritime security of member countries and to encourage other nations to fulfill their commitments in this area.
According to the signed technical agreement, a representative of the Azerbaijan Naval Forces will represent our country at the center for a period of three years.
In accordance with this arrangement, the Azerbaijani flag will be flown at NATO Maritime Security Centre of Excellence (DGMM/MARSEC COE), and a representative from our country will have a permanent presence there.
