Azerbaijan-NATO experts’ level Roundtable on Energy and Environmental Security took place in Baku
Azerbaijan-NATO experts’ level Roundtable on Energy and Environmental Security took place on 28 October 2024 in Baku, Azerbaijan. The event was organized as a part of the 30th Anniversary of Azerbaijan's accession to NATO's Partnership for Peace Framework Document (PfP).
The Roundtable was an opportunity to discuss the relationship between climate change and energy security. The event included exchange of views on energy security, protection of critical energy infrastructure, climate change and environmental security issues.
Azerbaijan's role in ensuring of energy security of Europe, its activities in combating climate change and transitioning to green energy, including Azerbaijan’s chairmanship of COP29 was particularly emphasized in the course of the event.
The roundtable was attended by representatives from NATO's Climate and Energy Security Sector of the Innovation, Hybrid and Cyber Division, experts from member and partner countries of the Alliance, including from relevant state authorities of Azerbaijan, and academic circles.
