Young Diplomats from Azerbaijan have visited NATO HQ and SHAPE
On December 16-17, 2024, a group of young diplomats from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan have made a two-day visit to NATO headquarters and NATO's Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE).
On the first day of the visit, the young diplomats participated in seminars organized by the Public Diplomacy, Operations, Innovation, Hybrid and Cyber, Political Affairs and Security Policy divisions of NATO on the topics of NATO's current agenda, security challenges facing the Alliance, and the organization's hybrid and cyber policies and partnerships.
On the second day of the visit, December 17, 2024, the young diplomats from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs visited NATO's Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE), located in Mons, Belgium. During the visit, diplomats met with the Deputy Chief of Staff Partnerships Directorate, Rear Admiral Bruasdal Gunnstein. Young diplomats also participated in seminars addressing topics such as NATO and its partnerships, the Alliance’s current operations, and NATO's defense and deterrence concept. At the end of their visit to SHAPE, a luncheon was hosted for the young diplomats by Rear Admiral Bruasdal Gunnstein.
As part of the visit, the young diplomats also visited the Mission of the Republic of Azerbaijan to NATO.
